Opioid Addiction is a chronic medical condition that affects the brain and your behavior. At first, a person has control over the choice to start using opioids. If one does not use a drug as prescribed, the drug’s pleasurable effect eventually makes that person want to keep using it. Over time, the brain changes in certain ways and develops a powerful urge to use the drug.

If you think you or a loved one are addicted to opioids, please connect with MyStreetHealth for clinically-approved Suboxone and buprenorphine treatment in Chevy Chase, MD.

Buprenorphine Treatment

MyStreetHealth provides the convenience and privacy of an online Suboxone® clinic: we offer opioid replacement therapy with Suboxone or Subutex medication and access to online counseling. These medications contain buprenorphine, a drug approved by the FDA for the treatment of opioid addiction.

Suboxone® is a combination of two medications in one, buprenorphine and naloxone, which dissolves under the tongue. Subutex contains only buprenorphine. Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist, which means that it can block opioid withdrawal symptoms and cravings but does not have all the effects of other opioids. Naloxone is an opioid blocker.

When used as directed, both Subutex and Suboxone can manage withdrawal symptoms without further exacerbating opioid addiction. This management of withdrawal symptoms allows you or your loved one to focus on recovery.
