Is this right for me?

An honest answer
to that question.

MyStreetHealth is a good fit for many people — but not everyone. This page is straightforward about both.

Who we can help

We're likely a good fit if any of these describe you.

You're using opioids and want to stop

Heroin, fentanyl, prescription opioids, or pills — if opioids are the problem and you want treatment, this is what we do.

You're already on Suboxone and want to switch providers

Stable patients transferring from another practice are welcome. Same-day transfers accepted.

You don't have insurance — or prefer not to use it

We are a self-pay practice. No insurance required, no prior authorization, no delays.

You've tried treatment before

Prior treatment — whether it worked or didn't — doesn't disqualify you. We start from where you are now.

You're dependent on kratom or 7-OH

Kratom and 7-hydroxymitragynine act on opioid receptors. Buprenorphine can help. We treat this.

You have depression, anxiety, ADHD, or alcohol use disorder alongside OUD

For established patients, we manage co-occurring conditions alongside buprenorphine treatment. A prior documented diagnosis is required.

Where we're not the right fit

We want to be honest about our limitations.

MyStreetHealth is an outpatient telehealth practice. There are situations where a different level of care is more appropriate, and we'd rather tell you that upfront than have you come to us when something else would serve you better.

You need medically supervised withdrawal management

Sometimes called detox — if your withdrawal is severe or medically complex, supervised inpatient care is the safer starting point. We can help with ongoing care afterward.

You need inpatient or residential treatment

We are outpatient only. If you need 24-hour support or structured residential care, we're not the right setting.

You're looking for methadone treatment

Methadone for opioid use disorder must be dispensed through a licensed opioid treatment program. We prescribe buprenorphine, not methadone.

You need intensive mental health support

We manage co-occurring conditions for established patients. If your primary need is intensive psychiatric care, a different provider is more appropriate.

If you're not sure which applies to you, call us. The physician can help you figure out what level of care makes the most sense — and if that's not us, we'll tell you.

Geographic eligibility

Where we can see you.

MyStreetHealth is currently licensed to see patients in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and Ohio. All visits are via telehealth — you do not need to come in person.

Tennessee and Pennsylvania coming soon. If you're in a state we don't yet serve, call us — we can sometimes point you toward options in your area.

Still not sure?

Just call. We'll tell you.

If you read this page and you're still not certain whether we're the right fit, the fastest way to find out is to call or text. No commitment, no pressure. If we can help you, we'll tell you how. If we can't, we'll try to point you somewhere that can.
